Multimedia Film Project Manager

When:
Mon 05 Jul (All day) - Fri 23 Jul (All day)
Location:
Various
Pay:
£550 for the project

I am looking for a student (or a couple of students?) who fancy themselves as the next steven speilberg....

OK so we are not talking blockbusters here, but you will be responsible for managing a project to get 7 welcome videos (about 2 mins long each) for each faculty to go on the Getting Ready website.

Duties will include: putting together a film schedule and outline plan of what to cover, arranging student ambassadors to film, filming and then editing.

The payment is a total for the whole project and is based on the idea that you will take about a day to film and produce each film  plus a couple of days for planning and arranging filming.

There will be a desk available in the office for you to use, and the editing package provided will be ULead Video Studio 11.   Experience of this (or other editing packages) is useful but not essential as i am told it is very easy to use and we can provide basic training for you. If you have your own editing packages you are more than welcome to use these and work from home on this side of things if you prefer.

I will also be on hand to help talk through ideas with you throughout the project, but the idea is that you will manage this yourselves, with you just updating me on progress at regular intervals.

The timings outlined above are flexible - but all films will need to be produced and signed off by myself at the end of July.

If you are interested in the role, please can you respond to this advertisement stating why you think you would be good for the role and what experience you have of doing this kind of thing. If you have any further questions about the position please feel free to ask me on k.gutteridge@kingston.ac.uk
