'Year 7 Discovery Days'
We are holding four Discovery Days on campus for year 7 pupils from Tues 12th- Fri 16th March and will be looking for 6 ambassadors to facilitate the sessions each day.
These are really fun, hands-on days so if this sounds like something you'd be interested in look out for the postings online in the next couple of weeks.
As many of you will know Jenni Woods is on maternity leave. So Emily Butters is now Widening Participation Projects Manager working on the compact scheme, look after children project and other random projects. We also welcome Ana Baker as Outreach Programme Co-ordinator. Ana will be contact you about events and when we need ambassador for education liaison work. Sarah Baba joins us as are new Education Liaison Officer; covering for Emily Butters. If your struggle to take that all in, I also have to tell you that Emily Moore is leave us for Royal Holloway at the end of the month! So all change and we wish her well. I hope you will welcome all the new staff into the ambassador scheme and show them how great Kingston is.
Alumni Ambassador Marketa Setinova email us to tell us about the Health is First Youth Exchange Together England who they work for.
They are looking for 5 people (18-25 years old) from the UK to take part in 'Health is First' project in Luxembourg. The project will bring together people from Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Estonia, Portugal, United Kingdom, Greece, Poland, Italy, Netherlands and Czech Republic. The program of the project will include workshops on sport, environment and Human Rights, untypical sport activities, trip to Luxembourg, meetings with sportsmen and local youth service and press conference. Plagiarism Campaign – Work Opportunity
Hello Everyone,
The KU annual plagiarism campaign is taking place on all campuses during teaching week 2 and we need you to participate.
It runs from 12pm -2pm each day on all campuses from Monday 6th February to Friday 10th February.
If you can participate for one or two on any/all of those days you will be paid £7.50 p.h
Duties will include handing out a quiz and getting it back, and giving students a feedback sheet and discussing plagiarism with them. You will be given the quiz and answers beforehand.

Helping to set up/pack away an event
|
They will need to help pick up the materials and also pack them away – returning to a pre agreed point close to the event. The promotional point will have plagiarism publicity and copies of the survey.
In addition to the survey, sweets will be handed out as an incentive for students to complete the survey.

Welcoming visitors
|
Welcoming and speaking to anyone who is interested finding out more about plagiarism, encouraging them to participate in the survey and providing written feedback.

Leading an informal chat about student life
|
The main role for them is to chat to students and engage them by sharing their own experience. To reflect on the experience of the whole time spent at Kingston and to discuss/inform of support available on academic skills.

This will be a full days work between 9am and 5pm at a pay rate of £7.50 per Hour.
It will be based at River House.

Volunteers wanted
The University is reviewing the whole way it deliverers it academic programmes.
We are invite you to a focus group to get your input on how the University might go around reviewing it assessment, module and tutoring If you want to input into shaping your university then can go along to one of the focus groups that will be held over the coming weeks.

So soon it will be that time of year again to recruit open application more ambassadors, we be losing 48 ambassadors this year.
We need your help in making sure lots of good people apply for the role. Hopeful you will know just how worth while it is being an ambassador and will want to share the information.
