Dear Student Ambassadors
It has been reported that there have been several issues with you accessing the KUSA site and applying online for the Welcome and Enrolment Student Ambassdador position in September.
To ensure fairness and an opportunity for you all to apply we are going to reopen the application process and therefore if you have applied through the site, please do so again via email to me.
As part of your application please follow the instructions below carefully.
Deadline for applications is 10th May. I know it may be frustrating for those of you who have already applied and I apologise in advance for any inconvinence.

If you are successful in the application stage (therefore please ensure you apply answering the question, not just "I am free" you will be invited to an assessment centre type interview week commencing 26th May.

Welcome and Enrolment Student Ambassador
Mon 9 Sep (All day) - Sat 21 Sep (All day)
Location: All university campuses including halls of residences and university bus services
Pay: £8.78 per hour
You will be involved in the Welcome and Enrolment period for the 2013/14 intake, this includes both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Events taking place include: enrolment at Kingston Hill and Penrhyn Road, Welcome Centre (support services representation), Halls Welcome Events and other activities.

Giving new students an insight into what it is like to be a student at KU (through Ask Us stand representation and Talks)
Queue Management
Responding to queries and complaints and referring appropriately
Signposting to relevant student office, location, enrolment, welcome centre, bus departure/arrival points
At Halls Welcome Events: Assist Site Coordinator in ensuring the party runs smoothly and students are integrated with their peers

Our colleagues in applicant services are looking for agents for the busy Confirmation and Clearing Hotline in the summer.
Dates will initially be 12 – 16 August 2013, working full time. You will need to make sure you are available for the whole week as this includes our training which is mandatory. As with previous years, we may be offering work beyond these dates but this is depending on call volumes, the number of course vacancies still available and personal performance. This year we will be working from Kingston University as well as a Call Centre in Leatherhead. Transport to Leatherhead and back will be provided for you. Please be aware that there is likely to be some evening and weekend work. Following the work for the Clearing Hotline, there may also be possibilities to work for the Enrolment Hotline and then during Kingston University Enrolment Events.
You will need to be enthusiastic about Kingston University, show excellent communication skills, a good understanding of the UCAS application process, the ability to work under pressure and the ability to communicate information clearly over the phone. The hourly rate is £8.50 for call centre operators. If you would like to join our team please email us on clearingrecruitment@kingston.ac.uk by Monday 22nd April, making sure you attach an up-to-date CV.

Hi guys,
Just to let you know I will soon be finishing my job in education liaison (on Fri 15th February) due to my contract ending so will be handing all my work over to Sarah including the SpLD mentoring project (I will email everyone involved with this individually).
At the beginning of March however I will be starting work for Debi to support her with the Student Ambassador scheme! I will be helping with the 2013 recruitment round and various other projects throughout the next few months so look forward to continuing to work with you all soon.
